Certainly Conservatives will protest strongly, even vehemently, at my statement attacking their belief they are the true Christians. I couldn't care less about their opinions on anything because they are slaves to their ignorance and self righteousness.
For far too long they have not been as seriously challenged about their arrogant sense of entitlement to being the true champions of Christianity.
What they really are is true champions of duplicity with their heads in the sands of reality. They do not follow Christ’s teaching worth a damn but instead simply claim to do so. If you carefully reflect on the “Sermon On The Mount” it becomes patently obvious that Conservatives either have never read it or that they are the kings of double-dealing, double-speak, fraud, and a whole litany of other deceitfulnesses.
Sermon on the Mount is a collection of proverbs spoken by Jesus of Nazareth. Let’s take a look at what Christ actually said during his Sermon.
The Beatitudes
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
The Conservative arrogance precludes them from being poor in spirit. The fact is they are so proud of their hatred it overwhelms any possibility of rational thought.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Conservative do mourn but is more like moaning when they don’t get their way.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Conservatives are anything but meek. They want to indulge in the rapacious seizing of control over the United States as a nation and over those on the Left they see as their enemy, regardless of Christ’s teachings of loving thy neighbor.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Their only hunger is “self-righteousness” in the name of selfishness.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
As to date the Right-side doesn’t look with mercy on all who oppose their demands to be in control.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Pure in heart is an oxymoron where Conservatives are concerned.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
The idiots of the Right don’t want peace, instead they want to rule over the United States and destroy anyone stupid enough to thwart their goal of hegemony.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Here they actually believe what Christ meant was for them to persecute “unbelievers” as they self-define who is good and who is not. It’s always nice to self-define anything, it makes it very clear and simple who are the god guys and who are not.
What Right-siders imagine as heaven is actually hell and the devil take the hind most. In other words those on the Right are interested only in themselves and leave to fate those who cannot cope. It suggests a selfish attitude where individuals prioritize their own interests over others, which is completely at odds with Christ’s teachings.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
One of the biggest traits of Conservatives is their ability to insult others, even themselves on many occasions. They do, in fact, rejoice and are glad to be the persecutors and not the persecutees. Once again, their reward will be in hell and not heaven.
They are wannabe Christians willing to believe their own Lip-Flap regardless of how idiotic it is.
They can’t understand that just because someone states something is true is no guarantee that it is true. The truth is that the Right-siders are the great rationalizers on the American landscape. Whenever Conservatives don’t want something to be true they have a full proof method to counter the validity of any statement they oppose: They simply SAY it is not true and by saying it is not true, it miraculously isn’t. Gee, sure is nice to be able to deny without any feeling of a guilty conscience.
The world as they see it is filled with millions of sinners and only a few right-minded people like themselves. They inevitably see themselves as victims but in their smugness they can’t see that they are actually the sinners rather than those they vilify.
Come on, give me a break!
Their views and beliefs simply cannot stand up to serious scrutiny.
It’s not so much I find their attitudes and beliefs disturbing, everyone should be given the right to their own feelings; what I do find disturbing is the meanness of their thinking and above all their threats to control my right to my own personal ways of thinking and believing as well as my right to have the attitudes I choose to embrace. These rights I hold as precious, but the Conservative mind refuses to grant to me and all of us “non-believers” our due.
Their repudiation of knowledge, wisdom and forethought keep them from going beyond their limited grasp of the world around them. They are basically an amalgam of self-serving, reality-denying idiots.
The Constitution
When the United States was established after the Revolutionary War the drafters of our Constitution understood full well the dangers of combining government with religion and they knew it had never worked anywhere or at any time to merge them.
The founders looked forward to a nation conceived in liberty, justice and equality while promoting progress for all its citizens. At the founding of our nation Liberal and Progressive ideals were seen as essential values. They also valued the essential attributes of a free press, freedom to assemble peacefully and to be allowed to register dissent against the government.
The Trump Administration, with help from MAGA-Mags and the Christian Far Right are doing their level best to undermine and eventually destroy the vision embraced in the founding of our nation. They want to remake American to their vision of what is correct, that is, to make it The United States of Christianity.
But it is more than renaming our nation, it is even more about Controlling those who disagree with them, the religious extremists who feel threatened by freedom of speech, but even more by freedom of thought. The goal they have set is to rehabilitate all who are not believers in the ascendance of the Conservative Agenda’s doctrine of superiority.
For those stupid enough to cling to their own beliefs, the Agenda will do one of two things: force their fictional beliefs on those who still oppose them, and as the final coup de grace eliminate them once and for all when the “new order” is in place. Folks, we’re looking at a bunch of lunatics who will welcome death camps!
Instead of Christian-leaning they are authoritarian automatons and reality-denying halfwits who ignorantly go their way believing in their own righteousness, after all, that is what their Masters keep telling them they are: The chosen ones.
And speaking of their Masters, they are now assailing the minds of MAGAs and Far-Right religious fanatics with the idea they are in a battle for America’s soul and that paying attention to such useless ideas as peace and equality must be seen as their enemies and that love thy neighbor is something in America’s past, in deed from the flower children of the late 1960s.
These thoughts are absolutely contrary to Christ’s most basic teachings where love and peace and equality are at the root of his belief system.
I was about to publish this Post when my nephew sent me a text showing Trump as Christ placing his hand on someone lying prone, as if Trump had there powers of Christ. Apparently many MAGA types see this image as coming from God but in reality if it is coming from someone it is the anti-Christ. Personally I don’t for a second believe in an anti-Christ, but I’ve no doubt the idiots do.
Again, give me a break And go of figure all at the same time. The stupidity of the Right-side is off the scale by any measure. By believing such tripe it just goes to show they don’t know shit from shinola!
